EXPERT LECTURE
Subject and Topic: ASTRONOMY
Resource Person : Mr. Ramchandra Lele
Department of First Year Engineering in P. V. P. I. T., Budhgaon organized an expert lecture on the topic “ASTRONOMY” on 10th January 2020 between 1:10 pm to 2:30 pm in auditorium of college. The renowned scientist Mr. Ramchandra Lele was the resource person who uncovered various layers of knowledge in astronomy which will be beneficial for the students of engineering.
The session began with the heartfelt welcome & felicitation of guest speaker. Mr. Ramchandra Lele by Prof. Dr. A. A. Miraje (Head, First Year Engg. Dept.) & Dr. S. L. Patil. (Assistant Professor in Physics). Mr. Ramchandra Lele started his lecture with the explanation of evolution of the universe and the existence of TIME in simple language. He also stated the importance of study in positional astronomy. He further discussed the relationship between sun, energy and biology and described their interdependence. He stressed on a multidisciplinary perspective of study from every branch of engineering while studying astronomy. He has also concentrated key concepts such as Astrophysics, exo-planet and GPS system. He elaborated the effect of gravity, food requirements, and prompt decision making which are important aspects while travelling through space. All the students have got benefited by the knowledge of the expert. His knowledge of astronomy shall be utilized for the students throughout the year through series of lectures in future.
All the faculty members and students of First Year Engineering Dept attended this lecture. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. S. L. Patil. (Assistant Professor in Physics).
